Coronavirus Information

Keeping you up to date with the most recent news on COVID-19, and how Calm Birth & Baby is responding to help keep your classes running.

Making sure you still feel fully supported and prepared is our main priority, and I am doing everything to make sure this still happens. This page will be kept up to date with any changes in our policies as and when the guidance changes. I know that the guidance is changing on a daily basis and for this reason Calm Birth and Baby is taking our response very seriously. I know how important these classes are to you and the support you get from them, and I want you to know that I am doing everything in my power to keep you safe whilst giving you the unconditional support you need especially at a time like this.

New National Restrictions in place from Thursday November 5th 2020

With new national restrictions in place from the 5th November until the 2nd December 2020 ALL Calm Birth and Baby classes will be held online via Zoom.

I know this is not the news you were hoping for. I also know there has been a lot of talk about certain parent and baby classes being able to continue during this second lock down period. Unfortunately this information is not as clear cut as I would like. Calm Birth & Baby's main priority is keeping you safe. Looking after you is what I pride myself in and is at the heart of Calm Birth & Baby's philosophy.

I have looked into this extensively and after speaking with local government officials and insurance companies I have heavy heartedly come to this hard decision. Our classes can be taught online, and YES we know just how 'supportive' our classes are, and what a life line they are especially at a time like this, but are they technically 'support groups'? No. Calm Birth & Baby prioritises public health and the health and wellbeing of our parents and babies. I would never want to put you or our local community at risk.

If you are booked on to one of our classes or workshops you will have already have been contacted.

Calm Birth & Baby has taken every necessary steps to ensuring that your classes online are not compromised at all. In fact I know for a lot of you connecting with other expectant and new parents is one of the main reasons you attend these classes. You will be thrilled to know I have never seen groups as close than during the last lock down. I truly believe that when ' women support women, amazing things happen!'. This is at the heart of what I do, educating you whilst bringing you all together creating the support network and community you need. So if you have not booked on yet, please do not hesitate because you will still get so much from our classes and workshops and they are filling up fast despite being online or face to face!
