About Me

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am the founder of Calm Birth and Baby. I am mum to two wonderful boys, Harvey and Rupert. I have a passion for supporting mums on their journey through birth into motherhood.

After supporting so many women through pregnancy and birth I truly believe that a positive birth is not necessarily about a pain-free, natural labour. It is about being fully informed, calm and able to make the right decisions for you and your baby. I am passionate and dedicated about supporting expectant mums through the most beautiful and life-changing experience in a woman's life.

Sadly I lost my mum when I was 9 weeks pregnant. It was not until I held my newborn baby in my arms I realised what it was to become a mother. Nothing can prepare you for this bond between mother and child. It was around this time I realised how much support you need when you have a baby. Becoming a new mother without a mother was the hardest thing I have ever encountered.

I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of expectant mums and parents over the years and I am so humbled to be a part of this extraordinary journey. Every birth fills me with joy. Being able to watch mums grow and bond with their babies is heartwarming. I am dedicated to bringing you a wealth of knowledge as I help you prepare.

I truly believe in the sayings 'Mothering the Mother' and 'It takes a village to raise a child'. I never want a mum to feel alone or like she has nowhere to go to ask those little questions we all have. I have and will continue to create a place for mums and expectant parents through this transitional time in their lives. My mission is to create the communities needed so no mother stands alone. Empowering women to grow with confidence as intuitive mothers; free from the pressures of how the world and social media tells us we should parent and instead listen to what is important to each mother.

With years of experience and training, my training is ongoing as I move into areas of Birth Trauma to be able to expand my support to expectant mothers and partners on an even deeper level.

I look forward to meeting with you and being there for you, to support you in whatever way you need me to and I am honoured to be able to do so.
